UPDATED 10/29/2014

There are many ways in which to participate in the BNLHS Science Club.

Robotics - The FTC competitions.

Click HERE for the FTC competition link.

Robotics is meeting temporarily on Mondays at the Purdue Extension Office on the South side of the square in Bedford at 6:00 until November 15th. At that time we will have a room at the Boys club where we can spread out and not have to break everything down after every meeting.

This year we are also going to be competing in the Science Olympiad.
Rules are now in, and we are meeting Thursday 10/30 until 3:45 in room 3225. Lots of work to be done.

We are also going to be competing in the Indiana Envirothon.
This team has not yet formed but if you are interested, see the information found on the following link:

And certainly not least, the BNLHS EPICS program.

ROBOTICS
Congrats to the Robotics Team as they placed 17th at the Vincennes Invitational qualifier. Barring the 2 mishaps with the teams alliance partners motor failure and one not getting to the arena in time, we likely would have been at the State competition on March 19th. Good job, everyone!

Check out the rules for this year, the building designs, etc. and watch the video if you can; I may show it in my room at the next meeting, next Tuesday.

And too...The geekiest place to shop that I know...trust me! They've had a great clearance sale on recently and may still be ongoing, but I haven't looked for a few days.

SolidWorks is up and running on the computer at the back of the room now.

We are now participating in the First Tech Competition. Robotics is the works, so get in here and start planning! At first look, we need to get a name for the team. Suggestions?

Next meeting will be Thursday, Sept. 23rd after school.

Be prepared to be bombarded with robotics - not forgetting also, that there is an environmental aspect to this too - the Envirothon.

I heard the word "pizza" for next time too...
